Pray for...

Have you ever felt paralyzed by the thought of praying for the persecuted? Not known what to say or how to pray for so many needs? Looking for some ideas of what to pray for?

Below are some suggestions!

  • all those affected by the earthquakes in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and surrounding areas. Pray also for those who are providing aid.

  • that the love and joy they have for Christ will be apparent in all circumstances to those who are persecuting them.  (Acts 16:25)

  • them to trust in God and not themselves. (2 Corinthians 1:7-9) and for them to proclaim the gospel fearlessly (Ephesians 6:19-20, Acts 20:24)

  • their struggles and their safety. (Romans 15:31-33) and that they will see that God’s grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in their weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

  • extremist groups like ISIS, Boko Harm in Nigeria, Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula, Taliban in Pakistan and Al-shabaab in Somalia to name a few. Pray for them to realize who they really are fighting for. Pray they turn to God.

  • the people living in Gaza, Christians and some Muslims alike, as they live day to day without much hope of survival at the hands of Hamas. ISIS has also penetrated the country, trying to take control. Pray for the love and strength of Christians to change the hearts of  Muslims.

  • Syrian and Iraqi refugees scattered throughout the region as a result of ISIS gaining more and more control of the Middle East.

  • the Islamists and Orthodox Jews to come to know who Jesus Christ really is and commit themselves to Him.

  • ISIS, a group of Sunni Muslims, as they push their brutal way into the Middle East, killing Shiite Muslims as well as Christians and other religious minorities. Pray they are stopped, that Jesus would open their hearts and minds to the truth of who they really serve.

  • Christians throughout the world to hold fast to their faith and be a light to those who are caught up in the misguided allegiance to a life that strengthens only the darkness.

  • India and our partners there who work tirelessly to support the "least of these"

  • they maintain hope in their future glory and that they will remember that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ (Romans 8:18-39)
