Bangladesh baptisms

Pastor "Harry" and Pastor "O" gathered by a small lake to perform baptisms. As they began, local Muslims saw what was happening and alerted the pond's owner, claiming that Christians were bathing in his water and that all the fish would die.

The pond owner arrived just as Pastor Harry was about to baptize a woman, and he demanded that they stop. With calm conviction, Pastor Harry said, "If you allow us to finish, we will pray over your pond. Our God will bless you and double the value of the fish you sell this year." He made this promise without knowing what the fish were worth.

A few months after that prayer, the pond owner sought out Pastor O. He shared something unexpected - he had made significantly more than usual from his fish sales. Recognizing that something special was happening, he began visiting Pastor O and listening to Bible stories with growing interest.

But not everyone was pleased. The pond owner's wife informed her relatives that her husband had become a Christian. In anger, they came to Pastor O's home to confront the situation.

A neighbor, hearing the disturbance, stepped in, and in front of everyone, he turned to the pond owner and said, "Are you now a Christian?" The pond owner replied, "No, not now - but the One they worship, I love him."

The neighbor addressed the angry relatives: "They didn't convert your husband, so you cannot do anything." The situation was diffused, the wife asked her husband for forgiveness, and peace returned to their home.

Though the pond owner has not yet declared faith in Christ, his words reveal a heart being stirred. From a simple act of obedience at a village pond, God is working - softening hearts, building relationships, and opening doors to the gospel.

Please continue praying for Pastor Harry, Pastor O, and this pond owner - that the seeds that were planted will grow into a bold faith. And pray that God will give us the faith that Pastor Harry displayed.
