In a South Asian country, Pastor “Allen’s” 24-year-old son, “Irwin”, was walking with two friends on a recent Saturday when their conversation turned to faith. One friend asked when Irwin had become a Christian, and Irwin responded that Jesus Christ is the only Savior of all people.

After hearing this, the friend became angry, and the two friends attacked Irwin. A bystander intervened and stopped the assault. When Pastor Allen learned what had happened, he came to the scene and took Irwin home. Two to three hours later, others in the area heard about the incident.

A large group later came to their home, destroyed the house, and assaulted Pastor Allen, his wife, Irwin, and Irwin’s sister. Pastor Allen called the police, and officers responded. The situation remains tense, as the area Muslims are angry. Thankfully, the family later received medical care for their injuries from the beatings.

Pastor Allen has served in this area since 2001, first as an evangelist and later as a pastor. Please pray for the whole family, for wisdom, healing, protection, and a steadfast faith.
